Talent and employment

Michael Fassbender to Jo Ellison of Vogue on his professional journey says

Talent is a very small percent of success – there are massively talented people out there who will never be seen on screen or on stage. People always go on about talent, but you’ve got to have the chance; meet the person who will work with you, and with the script that just suits you. Timing is massive.

(the emphasis mine)

True. The issue of employment is a lot more intricate than what is being written and discussed nowadays here. To be employed in the real world takes more than education and technical skills. We who have been there – the applications, the interviews, the exams, the many rejections – know this.
