Life’s paradoxes

Oftentimes, because many things are beyond one individual’s capacity to address solely, immediately, and/or completely, all one can offer is presence – to hold another’s hand, listen, and convey hope. At these times, one’s mind is empty of theoretical frameworks of community engagement and change, and instead respond as one human being should to another. But won’t this make one appear weak? If that makes the other strong(er) then there must be some power in weakness; in that context, weak is therefore not weakness.
