I Am With You

And Pope Francis has finally landed. After watching the coverage of his arrival online, these words entered my mind: “I Am With You”.

What do I mean? The Pope’s message is ‘mercy and compassion’ but his presence is symbolic of Christ’ promise fulfilled- and remember, I am with you always until the end of time. I will not leave you orphans. I will send to you the Counselor, the Paraclete.

It means, for believers in The Trinity, God is alive in the world. He has not left. He walks with us, among us. And He continues to challenge us.
